What we have been up to recently...

Sigmas Help Out at the Salvation Army

This past year the ladies of Sigma Sigma Sigma have been donating some of their time on Sundays to serve meals at the local Salvation Army.  It is a nice way for our chapter to give back directly to the community.  Also, it is a lot of fun to get a bunch of us in a kitchen together.  We hope to continue this tradition for years to come!

Relay for Life with the Women of Sigma

Picture
The Tri Sigmas participated in Relay for Life for their fourth year in a row.  We walked until 4am to show that fighting cancer never stops.  We also participated in games, face painting, and more.  Our chapter raised over $800 for the American Cancer Society.  We believe in less cancer and more birthdays!

25th Anniversary Celebration

Picture
On April 21st the women of Sigma Sigma Sigma celebrated our 25th anniversary at the UW Oshkosh campus with our alumnae, friends, and family.  We held a silent auction and raised over $1,400 for the Robbie Page Memorial, the Oshkosh Inclusive Park Project, and our local chapter.  Our chapter has come so far in the last 25 years and we owe that to all of the alumnae of the Epsilon Kappa chapter!

Spring 2012 Initiation

Picture
On April 14th our chapter welcomed four new ladies to our wonderful sisterhood.  There will be two more women initiated this semester still, which puts the Epsilon Kappa chapter total at 50! Welcome to all the new initiates, we cannot wait to see wait your Sigma journey brings for you!

Sigma says, "Love All!"

Picture
On April 11th some of the women of SIgma Sigma Sigma went to show their support at the 3rd Annual Ally March.  The ladies made signs, listened to inspiring stories, and marched through the streets of Oshkosh yelling chants to give their support to the LGBTQ community!  Our chapter enjoyed the event and cannot wait until next year.

Shuffling with the ladies of Tri Sigma!

Some members of Sigma Sigma Sigma volunteered at the Shamrock Shuffle sponsored by BioLife. Part of the group helped decorate for the event, while others participated in the walk. Good job showing off your St. Patrick's Day spirit while supporting a good cause!

Sigmas Dance the Night Away!

Picture
The women of Tri Sigma celebrated the fall semester at their annual Purple Violet Fall Formal.  The chapter and their guests enjoyed a great meal, an award ceremony and slide show, and a night filled with dancing at Westward Golf Course. Special thanks to Sarah DuFrane and Tawni Riepe for making the night so special!

Deck the Halls at Tri Sigma!

Picture
Following Thanksgiving break, the women of Tri Sigma and Parent's club gathered at the house to decorate for the holidays! From garland above the doorways to stockings down the banister and trees in all the common areas, the house was filled with holiday cheer.  A big thanks to the Parent's Club for all their help with decorating and donating!

Fall 2011 Initiation

Picture
On November 19th Epsilon Kappa welcomed 15 fabulous new members into our ever-widening chain of sisterhood. Our chapter is so proud to expand our sisterhood and welcome 15 women who we know will make a difference in our local and greek community! Welcome new initiates!

Tailgating with Parents at Titan Stadium

Picture
On November 12 the the members of Sigma Sigma Sigma and their parents met at Titan Stadium to cook out and have fun supporting the UW-Oshkosh football team! Parent's and daughters enjoyed eating delicious food and snacks while socializing and playing bean-bag toss. We would like to thank all the parent's who came out and made such delicious food to share and made the event a successful one.

Sigmas Team Up For Hands on Oshkosh

Picture
On October 15th members of Sigma Sigma Sigma reached out their helping hands in the community wide service project, Hands on Oshkosh.  The ladies served the community by helping build houses of underprivileged families and assist in any way they could.  Their hard work and dedication to serving others is what makes them such great members of Sigma Sigma Sigma. Great job, ladies!

Sigmas Take Back the Night

Picture
Many of the members of Sigma Sigma Sigma attended Take Back the Night this past Wednesday, October 5th.  Supporting organizations such as MenCare and the local Christine Ann Center, the women of Sigma Sigma Sigma had a great time marching to Take Back the Night!

Rowing to Victory on Dragonboats!

Picture
Each year University of Oshkosh holds Dragonboat races for the whole community.  Tri-Sigmas Lauren Munson, Lindsey Tyson, Alyssa Dunham, Alison Tiedje and Paige Courtney competed on the all greek Dragonboat team on September 24th.  The greeks did a great job finishing first in their division! Good work, ladies :)

Special Sigma to Lauren Seiter for planning all of the recruitment process and having one of the best formal recruitment in Epsilon Kappa's history!
